Description
“Wild chamomile” is a trade description rather than a botanical one, and more than one plant reaches the market under it. That matters commercially: two consignments sold under the same name can be different materials, so the identification a buyer needs should be raised at enquiry rather than read off the label.
Where it is used
Chamomile-type oils are bought by cosmetic and fragrance formulators for a soft herbaceous character. Which specific material an application needs depends on the profile it was originally developed against.
Enquiring
If your dossier requires botanical identification, say so and what can be provided will be confirmed before a quotation is issued. Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is a separate listing. Start at Request a Quote. The identification step itself is described in the identification a dossier needs, and the gathered side of supply in wild-harvested and cultivated material.
