Description
Marjoram is the softer, sweeter counterpart to oregano, and the two are not substitutes even though they are usually shelved together. Marjoram is specified where oregano would be too assertive — delicate seasoning blends, poultry and vegetable applications, and herb mixes built around balance rather than punch.
Formats
Rubbed and cut-and-sifted are the usual formats for manufacturing use. Sieve size, stem content and cleanliness parameters are agreed alongside them.
